This Privacy Policy describes how PureQR ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the PureQR mobile application ("the App"), available on Apple's App Store. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

Data Collection and Usage

PureQR is designed with a privacy-first architecture. The App performs all QR code and barcode scanning operations entirely on your device using your device's camera.

We Do NOT Collect:

In summary: PureQR collects zero data from its users. Your scans are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with any server or third party.

Camera Usage

PureQR requests access to your device's camera solely for the purpose of scanning QR codes and barcodes. Camera access is processed entirely on-device in real time. No images or video frames are stored, recorded, or transmitted. The camera feed is used exclusively for code detection and is discarded immediately after processing.

On-Device Processing

All scanning operations are executed locally using Apple's native iOS frameworks. Your scanned data never leaves your device. Scan results are displayed to you on-screen and are not stored persistently unless you explicitly choose to save or share them through standard iOS sharing features.

We rely solely on Apple's anonymized and aggregated App Analytics, which are only available if you have opted in to share analytics with developers through your device's iOS Settings (Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share With App Developers).

Data Sharing and Disclosure

Since we do not collect any data, we have no data to share, sell, rent, or disclose to any third parties. We do not participate in any data broker networks or advertising exchanges.

Data Retention

PureQR does not retain any user data on external servers because no data is ever collected or transmitted from the App. All scan results exist solely on your device under your control.

Children's Privacy

PureQR does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). The App is safe for users of all ages as it does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar international regulations.

Your Rights

Because PureQR does not collect any personal data, the traditional data subject rights (access, correction, deletion, portability) under regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws are inherently satisfied. There is simply no personal data held by us to access, modify, or delete.
